Kids Who Cook is a non-profit organization started earlier this year in South Orange, New Jersey with the intent of raising money to fight poverty and bringing friends together to connect over meals. We hold benefit dinners to raise the money for a larger organization (such as a community food bank or Heifer International) but here’s the catch—these aren’t professionally catered dinners. High school students cook for the whole multi-course dinner party, helping us better our culinary skills, however rest assured, these are not your typical home-ecc type of meals. We have served everything from Korean BBQ tacos to home-made Honey-Oatmeal bread to an amuse-bouche of crystalized strawberries and celery leaves. We promise, you will not be disappointed.
As of right now, we have raised just about $4,000 for charity.
